Basauri, Ignacio – “The Flying Oz”

Ignacio Basauri was born in Santiago de Chile in 1963. His tireless work throughout the early years of his life earned him an exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts in Santiago at the tender age of 17. He received a degree in graphic design and worked as a draftsman and cartoonist for two years before honing his classic style in the medium of pastel and oil. In 1996 he settled down in Central America where he continues to work as a professional artist, having displayed his art in over 80 different exhibitions in both Europe and the United States.
