Yuan, Weiyi – “Landscape”

Weiyi Yuan, a practicing Taoist, incorporates the philosophy of Yin and Yang into his artwork. His work has piqued the interest of Westerners since the introduction of his work into the American art scene in 2013, but his prowess and unique philosophical approach to painting has been well received and acclaimed in China, where he teaches Taoism and art in Guangzhou and has presented pieces in at the Shanghai Art Exposition from 1990-2012.
