Dubord, Jean-Pierre – “Village Scene”

Jean Pierre Dubord was born in Rouen, France in l949. Following his nation’s predecessors in the Impressionist movement, Dubord’s paintings capture the impressions of land, city, and sea-scapes in France. True to the Impressionist style, Dubord’s use of bright colors and natural movement imbue his internationally acclaimed and celebrated paintings with a certain joie de vivre. Dubord’s mastery of light, value, and brushstroke has earned him several awards, and proves that so much emotion can be captured and expressed even with the most ordinary and placid of subjects.
