Lewis, C. – “Koi”

Chen Tai-yu, more commonly known by his nom de plume, C. Lewis, was born in China in 1963. Inspired by the work and notoriety of the American novelist Lewis Carroll, Chen Tai-yu adoped this Americanized pseudonym in hopes that it would garner a more international interest in his art. Regardless of name, his work stands on its own merit. His mastery of form, movement, and reflection in his naturalistic paintings is easily discernible when viewing his work, and his national acclaim has earned him an associate membership at the National Chinese Artist Association & Guangzhou Graduate School of Oil Painting.
